New Moto Guzzi Door Mats Available Now
I've read that some Convert owners with sidecars modify the two-speed gearbox so that they have high range and reverse. In place of the low range gears, there are sprockets and a chain. This just from memory...
. . . . . . I see Roadkill posted the other day. I hope he comes back.
So the drive roller is engaged all the time to the tire surface and you are relying on the one-way bearings to freewheel the reverse drive roller 'backwards' while going down the forward?
For sure he has reverse, he told me once about the local cop clocking him at some ridiculous speed in reverse.
Perhaps the easiest thing would be a mechanical linkage to engage the reverse roller only when needed.[/quot That is plan B. I am working on it now.I am thinking of making a steel roller like they have on car dyno's.
