I was looking around on the 'net and found that Fox Creek leather had some (Sportster) saddlebags on sale:
https://www.foxcreekleather.com/luggage/saddlebags-accessories/Normally, I use Givi bags because they're practical, but the leather ones looked good and the sale price was good, almost 40% off. I had to make some brackets.

I'm happy with the end result. The bags have zipper closures for the main storage areas plus some smaller zip pockets. I will mainly use the bags for small stuff, maybe a hat, some sunglasses or a jacket, or a few things at the store, nothing more than an overnighter.
