V7III Bar end mirror recommendations
« on: July 28, 2020, 01:33:58 PM »
Hello! I am looking for some non circular bar end mirrors for my V7III stone. Does anyone have any good looking recommendations?

I would like the mirrors to go above the handle bar and not straight off to the side since I lane split a ton for work.

Thanks everyone!

CRG have some variations that might suit - good quality, & replaceable parts, worth the money. As is Rizoma - quite a range. Also  check out the glassless mirrors from Motogadget.

After trying various bar ends, I ended up being happy with Rizomas in the switchblocks hole (before the glassless were available). The cheaper ones are fine to find out what styles are suitable, but not for living with long term.

I got these Rizoma knock offs on ebay for about $20.  They are the best bar-end mirrors that I've purchased.

Do an ebay search and you'll be surprised what you might find.   :thumb:

This is what you want. They are adjustable. Also come in black, and a slightly smaller version too.

I'm sure you can spin the mirror part inward so they don't stick out as far, but you might see your arms.  Mmm.

Let us know how they work out. I've used Napoleon Tanax on past bikes but they are hard to find at a realistic price. They're good mirrors but we need a North American importer to sell 'em at a fair price.

Oh, Non circular. These fold in, up, down, where ever for lane splitting. Yep, more $ than Napoleons, but better quality IMHO.

I had a little challenge installing in my new LSL aluminum clubman (speed bar) because the inner diameter is smaller to accommodate the wall thickness of the bar.  Sure do like these bars.  They are narrower than OEM so that helps keep the overall width in check.

The challenge was overcome by grinding the shoulder off the nuts and using a length of rubber hose from a stripped of emissions system.  I really like them.  Large enough to be useful, and look much better then the OEM mirrors.

I can't tell from the pic. Did you need to buy adapters for those mirrors, or are they clamped on the stock ends?

I've got a pair of those Emgos.  Vibrated too much for the V11 Sport.  Replaced them with the mirrors in the photo.

I'd be glad to sell them to anyone interested.  IIRC mine are plain stamped aluminum.

Good question.  The PO converted my bike with traditional handlebars.

There are folks that converted the stock clip-ons with bar mount mirrors.  I think they clamped the mirrors  to the factory bar end, or machined the bar end to fit.  I was going to install the factory clip-ons until I saw the bar end inserts.  I knew that the clip-ons would vibrate too much unless I used the bar end inserts.  So I never did it.

Go on the LeMans Board and ask Docc how he installed bar end mirrors on his Sport.

Actually, I guess I got the last pair before they offered the Emgos.  Mine use the rubber mounting instead of the metal.  Just did a 2 mile test ride after install and they seem to work well.

One of the best things I came across while searching for bar end mirrors to upgrade my V7 III:

LSL does Guzzi-specific bar ends that are plug and play and have a standard diameter of 1 inch.

While I personally did put LSL Clubman round mirrors on it, it really enables us to put virtually any bar end mirror on our Guzzis with no fuzz.
