I would have bought a V85, even if it came with the same engine as the roamer. If it came in cheaper from the get go as a result, I’d suggest they would have sold even more, I was having one irregardless (sic.)
The V85 as it is currently offered, gets uncomfortably close to the cost of some of it’s major competitors and in some cases eclipses it.
By all accounts the roamer donk pulls beautifully and is much maligned by a proportion of the populous.
I’ve never been on one, the poor bastard is just such an ugly duckling.
Like a million dollar necklace on Roseanne Barr....

My V9 was new this year, and with 2000 miles now it continues to run perfectly and have zero problems. This is one of the best motorcycles I have ever owned.

The V85 was in the frame but

a) Was too tall for my stubby legs
b) Did feel expensive when put up against other machinery
