 Sort of . Honestly I don't remember seeing a link that made the page spread out that far before . Normally you just need to scroll right for a bit , hit reply , do this a few times until the thread clears that page , Doing so will return the thread to normal size .

I simply copied the same address that was causing the problem on the Swag thread onto this thread, to try out the "Bump" solution you said was the answer.   If a thread was going to be "screwed up", this seemed like the right place to test it out.

It didn't work.   Bumping the post didn't fix the problem.   Your solution didn't work.   So you got rid of my post, accused me of "screwing it up", and did something different.

I just tried the bump on the “top ten car post”.   For whatever reason it got super long and tiny font. I bumped it but nothing happened?

 You have to bump it until it clears that page .I have explained this , it isn't hard . On that thread it is just barely stretched out .

This thread is tedious and mystifying at the same time. The display of a thread can become extra-wide if a very long url or a very large photo is included in a post. Right? Is this the issue?

Then what the heck is bumping? How does one bump?

I think both are inherent skills that occur to one by nature.  Very few have the patience required to practice either skill until perfection can be attained.

But if you need to practice either, I hear the internet has lots of places where all kinds of skills can be honed.

Hellfahr, I'm not even a troublemaker in this case ... I was trying to figure out the instructions.   It was "Who made the screen too wide?"  then it was "Fix it by Bumping the Post" then it was "I Tried It And It Doesn't Work" then it was explained with "Shut Up" ... and we still haven't figured out, other than deleting the original photo-link and replacing it with a TinyUrl, how to fix a too-wide post.

At least "troublemaker" is a promotion from "Arrogant Asshat", I suppose.

 Now , I fixed the thread about where cars are built by doing exactly that , go look , it will be obvious .

 As for the Swag thread , it was so far out of whack that the reply window would not show up . Have never witnessed that before , but it was also fixed .

If you want to keep a thread alive, you can post to it. You dont need to say <bump> but you can. Or say for instance if you asked a question and no one answered, you could say "Bueller?" or if you are bumping an OLD thread you are "Resurrecting" the thread..... (Don't worry Dusty, that wasn't religious).

Ok I’m willing to show my ignorance  here as I have not figured out how to deal with the threads that are to small to read and must be scrolled if one wished to read. Maybe I should also not admit this also but I do not understand how to “bump” the keyboard as the fix. So am willing to wear the DUNCE hat a bit to get this cleared up for me.
