Hi ,i did ask the question across the Pond. How would your Guzzi look like [Motor, Size, Style,etc] if you could/ would design /built one.
Was thinking with the new Line up for 2021 ,.... californa being dropped ,.... for me .currently California 1400 , old styling,two seperate seats and 1200 cc with 90 HP would do it . not quite as heavy as the current Cali.
Or a Bike like the LM 850 !

I really like my Bobber Sport so hard to improve on it......but as long as I am dreaming..... Bobber Sport styled like an Eldorado with a 4+ gallon red tank and chrome sides, Powered by the V85 and of course lighter.

Modern version of the (original) Falcone - 500 cc maybe a bit more, horizontal cylinder, USD forks, rear shocks under the engine.

I love this mock up that someone did of a Bellagio with a modern Le Mans make over. The Bellagio no longer meets euro emissions standards but would be great with the current 850 motor.

I would have said MGS 01 with the Griso motor once upon a time, but my ass is still recovering from the burns I received for daring to mention it.

My first thoughts would be a cafe racer style with lots of polished aluminium. But with a bit more thought I realized it would be a nice to own bike, but it would have to be a second bike.

So when I really put some thought into it I came to the conclusion that my dream bike would be what some may find uninspiring. My original thoughts were to mainly stimulate the visual scene. What I would really want is a bike that will handle sealed roads of various conditions, be reasonably competent in corners, has the ability to be loaded up for touring or stripped down for a trip around town.
Basically I am after something with the attributes of a 2000 California but with less weight. I would like a nice high gloss paint job, a pleasant exhaust note and comfort for a full days ride.

In short I think a cross between a V9, an Eldorado and a California would suit me perfectly.

Impossible!

Having said that, I have my Guzzi almost exactly how I want it.
'Evolved' over the five years (next month) that I've had it, just a few more little mods to do and it'll be perfect, for me.

I'd still like a Le Mans style Guzzi, with the 8V 1200 Drivetrain, and a Morgan style 'Reverse' Trike, again with the 1200 Powerplant.
Both projects for my retirement.

Over the past four decades I've modified my 850T to be just about perfect for me. I love the way it looks, which is dead-simple standard motorcycle of its era. To improve it I'd want a couple inches more suspension travel and about 50 lb less weight (it weighs 480 lb dry now). I think that would be doable on a V7iii platform. I'd use 80/20 pavement/dirt tires so as to feel more comfortable on gravel parking lots, dirt shoulders and turn-offs, and short stretches of forest service road.

You wouldn't need to de tune it for the street, its not that radical. 104 HP/L not really any more than a Daytona RS at 103 HP/L.

The MGS01 is gorgeous and sexy. A street legal version would be fantastic. However, being a realist, the expense, maintenance demands, load on wrists and knees, and I'm too slow and clumsy to make it look good - like a bear on a tricycle...

This parts bin special - V7 racer with fairing, good forks and shocks and the V85 engine. A street legal version of this without the silly number plates... (V7 racer riding position is not very aggressive)

I'll take one in white:

They could do a sport touring version with slightly larger fairing, dual seat, rack mounts and the V9 engine.

or maybe I'm living in the past...

That's one of the Oberdan Bezzi things that Roper hates, haha. Bezzi did also do a version of this based around the V7 or 850 motor by the way - googling 'oberdan bezzi guzzi' or something should bring it up.

I'd have loved the Bellagio to become a platform for this kind of thing for sure. I'd have been a day one new bike buyer, and I never ever buy new. The Bellagio motor is just so sweet and tractable. Edit: plus CARC!
