That one has tank dents (and broken fins) in the same places as the one I'm restoring. On it, the steering stop was broken off and the frame was twisted front to rear. Buyer beware...
Geeez!! How does one twist the frame "front-to-rear?!?" Obviously, by wadding the bike up in an accident?!?
Like I wrote, same signs as the Denver bike - dent in tank from fork hitting it (which means bent or broken off stop), busted fins. Battery tray had a "ripple" in it. Once the frame was bare and I sat it on the floor, it rocked side-to-side. When the swingarm area flat on the floor, the left front engine mounting point was 8 mm up off the floor.
Charlie, So how are you going to fix this frame? Send it out to someone who does this kind of frame work?
Aren't those later style beveled valve covers as well, which could further indicate parts replaced after a crash?
Love threads like this. Makes my bike worth more. Mahalo JJ!!
Made bulgogi style pork with Kim Chee last night. No OB beer subbed in Kirin. Rice of course. Threw in some chili peppers to get the right heat.
Kamsa hamnida!
I made kim chee burgers for dinner.
