Diana Rigg, RIP

Always beautiful but it was her sense of humour and intelligence that really made her an amazing woman.

I loved her in the "Avengers" and "On Her Majesties Secret Service". She did many other projects but those I remember most. After she quit the Avengers, they replaced her with Tara King-that might be her acting name-she was no slouch either.

The question we have all heard,  " Ginger or Mary Ann ?"

The proper answer was and always will be,  " Mrs. Peel. "

I've never been infatuated with any "star" except one:  Diana Rigg.  I grew up watching her on The Avengers.  A sad day for me.

If there was ever a "Queen of Cool", she was it.

Steve McQueen-level cool ... Understated and therefore that much more attractive when compared to over the top screen bunnies ...

She was every schoolboy's dream.

Loved "The Avengers".  A great team sadly gone.

I enjoyed watching the Avengers, but know nothing of what kind of person she was.

She also hosted PBS mystery theater when she was older and still beautiful.

Her daughter, Rachael Stirling, appeared on The Detectorists.  She has a lot of her Mum's mannerisms and is lovely.   The show is outstanding and worth a watch.
