The hugger is GREAT I live on a dirt-gravel road and it keeps the crap out of the swing arm bearing area. It's been on for years with no issues.

I actually just ordered one for my Bellagio from Skidmarx in the UK. Not cheap. As I removed the rear guard for the 'V7' conversion, the rear shock is constantly covered in crap. I'll post how it goes when I receive it.

The one I had from Skidmarx was poorly made, and not well engineered.  I had to modify it to get it to fit and not rub.  The attachment set up was iffy at best.  I got tired of monkeying with it after a couple years.  I think there are better designs out now.

That's disappointing to hear. Like I said, it wasn't cheap. There are others that attach to the CARC  reaction rod but I replaced the rod with a beautiful billet , anodised one and didn't want to obscure it. Huzo, yours looks like a Skidmarx one. Any issues with install or rubbing?

I've got one on my Bellagio from 'Design Italiano', whoever that is. Couldn't turn it up on Google. It gives no trouble.

I can't tell you any befores and afters as it was on the bike when I got it, but it's my daily and I've ridden the bike over two winters; it's still presentable for what that's worth.

I do admit that I had to apply some light twist to get it to line up with the centreline of the tyre, but it’s been on since 2016 @ 90,000 k.
Now @ 186,000 and I never think of it..

I prefer the one from MPC
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hi8Lw80TpOo

Requires more work to install it and it is the most expensive one but it works and looks good.
This should have been the stock solution.

I ordered one similar for my Griso, I am really pleased with how it took a beating up the Dempster highway.
It works well in the wet with my new tail tidy, I think I had it direct from the UK in less than 2 weeks.

So I received and fitted the Skidmarx rear hugger. I had to paint it matte black as it only comes in gloss. Wasn't too hard to fit although the way the instructions said to do it was impossible. I'm guessing that they're generic instructions for all brands. I fitted the bracket to the hugger and unbolted the CARC reaction rod to slide it into place. It was a tad close to the tyre on the exhaust side but nothing a couple of washers couldn't fix. It looks great. Went for a short ride and it seems fine.  :thumb:

I have ridden my Norge in constant rain and dirt roads for days on end in Norway etc...
The swingarm bevelbox get filthy dirty of course, but the shock stays more than acceptably clean... :thumb:
