Just wanted a little pie
« on: September 13, 2020, 06:19:38 PM »
But when we got there it was closed.  Oh well,  it was a good ride anyway.  Stayed overcast and didn't get too warm,  traffic was light and didn't get any driving awards.  Btw, thanks again Dusty for the sammich.

What a disappointment.

I was riding my EV back home from Canada two years ago.  When I reached Iowa, the only thing on my mind was the Coconut Cream Pie that is served at The CafĂ© and Creamery in Grapeland Texas. I hadn't been to the Creamery in years, but it was a slight detour from my route home.  I rolled into Grapeland Sunday morning looking forward to their Sunday Brunch and Pies.....   As I rolled into town and toward The Creamery, I was in shock.  I had to park my EV and dismount as I read and read again the name on what use to be The Creamery.  It was now, or then, a Mexican Restaurant. I am sure the food is good but, to add to my dismay, they were closed.

When I recovered, I headed down the road  a few miles to Latexo TX and had breakfast.

It looks like Dusty dusted off the Jackal and got out for a little run!  How's the bike running these days?  Did you get all the wiring and headlights/brake lights to work when they are supposed to or is it still fickle that way?

That's the Bassa you guys bought for me last year . Sorted out the wiring , turns out it was all in that goofy tail light setup . LED conversions and some creativity sorted that out . Still having trouble with the forks , and now the indicators have gone woogity again . More later .

The picture is Richard's new to him Norge and the Bassa in front of Bell's Kitchen in Talihina , we had a 2 Guzzi social distancing rally . Turns out the city park has a nice small pavilion .

Ok, but Dusty pretty much filled in the blanks before I got back to this thread.   I know the pic quality is poor, but I thought at least one of you would identify the cafe.   .  Prolly need to check to see what the foliage is doing in a few weeks. Maybe by then she'll be back open and have some good pie and coffee  :food:
