« on: September 14, 2020, 04:39:40 PM »
Stolen from the Cadre Instagram page.  An "adventure" bike (lite) that I can easily get my leg over.

I like it, I like it alot!

This to me is like V85 & V7 Stornello had a child

I don't not like it. :boozing:

At least it looks dirt worthy beside the protections to the engin... :bike-037:

They look very cool! I would gladly ride that one with the black tank and brown seat. Didn't I just read something about a new V7 or V85 variant with a "scrambler" style to it?

I think there’s misinformation occurring, and folks are confused by the V85 name usage as well as the ‘X’ in the moniker, which is often linked to motocross, off-road, etc. Personally, I don’t see anything scrambler-esque from the spy shot. No high exhaust, no raised suspension, etc. I read that more aggressive tires may be included, but if that’s all it takes these days for a porky midweight bike to be considered a scrambler, then my arms are painfully, slowly raised up into the air in frustration.

And if Steve McQueen were still alive, he’d probably die upon hearing that new Guzzi being called a scrambler. Of course, he’d be pretty stinkin’ old, so his heart would be quite frail anyway.

Me too. That’s one of the main inspirations to my custom scrambler direction, especially that solo seat and naked rear fender.

If one were to add some longer forks with leading axle and a 21” wheel, you wouldn’t be far off from an R80 GS. And a V7 III’s power specs are even closer to that of the classic BMW ADV bike.

I was slowly heading in that direction with my V7 III Stone but gave up and bought the V85TT Adv for the better suspension. Couldn't see pouring more money into the project when it would never be anything more than a street scrambler.

The Stornello TT would disagree
