V85 "Y" pipes and gearbox drain plug
« on: September 18, 2020, 07:52:32 AM »
Looking for the WOTL on this. I'd like to fit a "Y" pipe primarily so that I don't have to mess with the Cat when changing the gearbox oil. And maybe a slightly throatier exhaust note.

Any comments on clearances/interferences with the various pipes in use would be appreciated.  TIA

I've got the GPR pipe which I bought off Amazon as they had the best price.
With the stock muffler there is a bit more sound, but not too bad. I'm trying to keep this thing quiet as sometimes I have to ride by my neighbors bedroom windows at 4am.

This is a view of the transmission plug with the crossover in place. There's a bit more space, I measured it once but don't remember what the gap was.
