Warwoman road to 28, to the BRP, to Mt. Mitchell.
« on: October 16, 2020, 10:40:53 PM »
Left Covington Wednesday morning to the Blue Ridge motorcycle Campground and Thursday I rode to Mt. Mitchell. Rode home Friday after the morning rain. A good ride. The old Guzzilla did ok.

Love to ride that area. I always take Charlies Creek Road from Cashiers to the BRP. No traffic at all.

I will try that route next time.
There was not much traffic except for Thursday morning on the way to Mt. Mitchell, but by 2pm the BRP was fairly empty.

Nice ride man! I always enjoy that area. I think it’s genetic, my parents used to go up there in a VW bus when they were first married.

Warwoman road's a great one.  Ridden it many times up to Highlands, NC (via 28) for lunch.  Always fun.

Buddy and I rode to Mt Mitchell as well as various other places Friday. While the leaf peepers were leaf peeping we were enjoying all the fit female leaf peppers in yoga pants :thumb:

While on 28 from Warwoman to Highlands, as I came around a curve (which one I don't know as there are so many) there was a guy sitting in a chair on the side of the road playing a trombone. Crazy stuff, man.

Years back, heading south, I turned off of 28 onto Warwoman, after about a mile as I came around a corner, there was an Emu standing in the road. Or maybe a 5 foot tall turkey.
I stopped and had to wait for it to take it's time walking up the road, until I could pass it.
