Points Gap Question (were in the range)

73 Eldorado (new to me lots of questions). The point gap range is 0.42mm to 0.48mm. Do I set it in the middle at 0.45 then? Or will 0.42 give better performance at some point over 0.48. Or maybe it really doesn’t matter as long as it’s in that range? Runs just fine now at 0.45 so maybe I answered my own question. Just seams like a big range when it can be adjusted easily.
