Internet glitch WG content
« on: December 05, 2020, 09:15:05 AM »
 Have been receiving queries from members re why WG is asking them to log in every time they try to access the board . The answer is "I don't know" , happening on my end also . Probably just a ghost wandering around the Ethernet , or maybe the little battery powered scooter that the guy who runs the internet switchboard is running slow due to needing service . Or maybe the regular guy is on vacation and his temporary replacement hasn't got up to speed .

 Anyway , this happens periodically , likely the issue will resolve its self .

 Thanks for reading

 Dusty

Here in Vortex-Land, we have an Internet Service called Sudden-Link....

The locals refer to it as:
* Sudden-STINK
* Sudden-OUTAGE
* Suddenly-DOWN

Arguably, the WORSE Internet service on the planet.   It's horrible, and sometimes goes out for days at a time...

Thank God I am retired and don't have to run a business relying on "spottty-as-best" Internet service which costs me >$1300 per year...

I may possibly have an answer to at least some of these incidents.
I’m on Safari also. Any time I clear the history on my phone I have to re enter my password on all of my sites that has log in requirements. Hope this helps.

FWIW: Firefox. I was having to log in to sites that I'm normally always logged into such as WG. I decided to give deleting my cookies a shot. It worked for me. No more having to log in every time.

BUT.....Some sites store for instance your shopping list ect. with a cookie on your computer/phone. You WILL most likely loose the list. Some sites store your list on their end. Log in and you list is there.

Just a thought,
