This is one I have never seen before or heard of, I knew American Eagle initially distributed the 1st Laverda 650 and 750 twins , a Laverda small single and I have seen an American Eagle two stroke twin based on the Kawasaki Samurai but this?
who made this motorcycle for American Eagle?

It certainly looks like a Husqvarna drive-side engine cover, so I'll guess it's an Italian-made (who?) bike with a Husky or Husky-derived engine.

Good guess, except that the chassis is English.

Those were cobbled together in a couple of English garden sheds . There was one that showed up a few times at the old MX track in Broken Arrow OK . It never finished a race, the rider was the guy who owned a small Yamaha dealership in Tulsa that took on the A.E. badged Laverdas for a few years .

I saw one of those back in 68 or 69 when I worked in a Honda shop. He let me try it out and I liked it.
It handled better than most of similar bikes of the time.

Those were made by sprite in england. I’ve got a 250 with a Kawasaki f21m engine in it. The 405 pictured has a 4 speed husky clone made by sprite in england. They also used zundapp 125 engines
