https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xT4-iBuDw0QWatched a AXS TV Psychedelic Rock special and they considered Traffic as well as The Moody Blues Psychedelic Bands. ?
Maybe because the fans brought the "buzz" with us.....
I saw the title, and know where you live, and was thinking, "traffic?" There ain't no traffic in Giles county! LOL!I always thought the band Traffic was a progressive rock band.
I consider Traffic to be more jazz influenced band. The Moody's had a few songs that were a little psych. "Low Spark" is a great tune, I'm not sure what it's all about.Stevie W is a major talent who unfortunately I've never had a chance to see

Purportedly, he’ll be touring this summer with Steely Dan. I’ve seen him a few times, always an excellent live show. Here is your opportunity... https://www.stevewinwood.com/events
I consider Traffic to be more jazz influenced band. The Moody's had a few songs that were a little psych. "Low Spark" is a great tune, I'm not sure what it's all about.I did a little research on that, I've wondered myself! It's a hardcore tune! Traffic drummer Jim Capaldi started writing this song in Morocco, where he was getting ready to make a movie called Nevertheless with actor Michael J. Pollard. The film project fell through, but did lead to one of Traffic's best-known songs. Said Capaldi: "Pollard and I would sit around writing lyrics all day, talking about Bob Dylan and the Band, thinking up ridiculous plots for the movie. Before I left Morocco, Pollard wrote in my book 'The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys.' For me, it summed him up. He had this tremendous rebel attitude. He walked around in his cowboy boots, his leather jacket. At the time he was a heavy little dude. It seemed to sum up all the people of that generation who were just rebels. The 'Low Spark,' for me, was the spirit, high-spirited. You know, standing on a street corner. The low rider. The 'Low Spark' meaning that strong undercurrent at the street level." Stevie W is a major talent who unfortunately I've never had a chance to see
Thanks, I believe I’ll get out some headsets.....

Always been a big fan of Traffic. Psyco-delic or not. Low spark ALWAYS makes me stop and listen. Great Tune!
It's like "and the Pips" , you just need to fill in the rather large gaps . Dusty
No shit? Wow. Hope I'm vaccinated by then. Ft Worth and Rogers ARk seem on the way for me.A certain "dude" we know in NWA tells me He'll NEVER go to that Wal-Mart POS amphitheater again. Might warrant a trip for some Memphis BBQ I wonder what is left of Steely Dan?
Well there is Donald Fagen, and IIRC, they used mainly studio musicians, albeit, Expensive studio musicians. A friend who is a major Steely Dan fan, saw them a few years ago, before Becker’s passing, and was disappointed.
I saw Steely Dan about 5 or 6 years ago, before Beckers' passing, and it was one of the best concerts I've ever been to.
I listen to this TRAFFIC concert quite a bit! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kKRjuO13EQ0
Excellent lineupExcellent setlistEXCELLENT!!!"We were children once, playing with toys"
Walter would be big shoes to fill. But most connect Fagan's voice as the sound of Steely Dan. But Walter had a voice on the axe.
