I don't think it's lame.  I always have a knife and a leatherman Supertool.  My Swiss army parachutist knife has a lanyard/loop with a Firefox whistle and a bullet to bite on, just in case.

Got this parachutist knife at Smoky Mountain Knifeworks in TN for my first Father's Day when we were expecting our daughter almost 18 yrs ago.  Really like it and have carried it every day ever since.  Lately I thought I I should get a new one as a spare.  Now they're discontinued and around $200...

There would have been wood chips from cutting firewood yesterday but today just the normal items in the left pocket chap stick and 9mm mag.  The right pocket leatherman tool and my keys.

First, pocketS -- I wear cargo pants because I like to have things.

Wallet
Mask (if I'm not wearing it at the moment), any receipts or papers.
Keys, folding knife, nail clippers. multi-tool
Phone, coin purse, pen, my grandfather's Elgin pocketwatch.

Noting in my pants pockets.  Benchmade knife on my belt, and wallet, phone and dog biscuits in my jacket. I stopped carrying change about five years ago.

That's the combustion chamber of the turbo shaft. It is supposed to be on fire. You just don't usually see it but the case and fairing fell off.

Change, pocket knife and keys.   The three things I want to be buried with.

Pocket knife is a Kershaw Ken Onion design. Found it on the street.  Best knife that fits pocket and needs.  Use it every day for something.

Urge caution there...my Dad once set his lap on fire when using his thigh to help lift something heavy and abrading the matches in his britches....no serious injuries were sustained.

Mask in shirt pocket.
Wallet, front left pants pocket
EDC, right front pants pocket.
Spyderco and Lactase tabs, watch pocket.
Handkerchief, right rear pants pocket (Dad told me to always carry a clean hankie...some lass will need it more often than you’d guess)

The Spyderco serves quite nicely for out and about....opening packages, cutting off labels, the back edge when closed handily pries things open, etc.
Working around the house the Leatherman is on my belt.

I love the Benchmade.  it opens and closes with one hand, has the backbone to clean a bluefin and the blade edge to clean a box of fluke. Of course it’s primary function is opening motorcycle parts boxes...

I usually carry some sort of folding pocketknife with me.  I like this Wharncliffe blade locking folder with copper scales from Kershaw.  Nice knife... :thumb:
