To each his own.I for one am quite happy it still has dual shocks. For me, it just doesn't look right with just one - doesn't matter how much better it might perform with just one ;)Cheers,D.
I understand the 1960s twin shock retro look fair enough. But it would be nice if Guzzi made one non retro model in the 850 road bike range with modern suspension. The V7 750 suspension let's it down not just the poverty pack shocks /forks but lack of travel especially at rear (1980s small block swing arm assy) .The V85 reportly has reasonable good suspension stock simple ,adjustable and works.Proving you don't need expensive ,heavy single side carc set up either .
Arrrgggggh soooo many words!
Aluminum brake and clutch levers: made of billet aluminum, they enhance the V7's controls.
Disappointed to see the archaic twin rear shock set up . Was hoping they may have used mono shock set up similar to V85 . I hope aleast the shocks and forks have some dampening adjustment or is that asking too much. Will be interesting to know how much more suspension travel the rear wheel has compared to V7 Mk3.At least the engine power seems to match rivals .
With USD forks, dial discs, a little cafe fairing. Let's call it a LeMa..... But yes, I agree
A couple of years back, I suggested that and was laughed out of the park.I wanted it to land between the V7 and V9, to be called the V8.It needs the front end from the V85, so it inherits twin discs and USD forks. If I had one and grafted a V85 front end on, I’ll bet my aching arse it would be well received.
