<SNIP>Hell , Rocker and I don't even know what it really costs to keep this place running , Luap doesn't tell and we don't ask. <SNIP> Dusty
Go upper right on the home page. There is a DONATE button.A bit below that is a "donation status" link.https://www.wildguzzi.com/donations.htmThis link brings you to the list of operating costs for the site.Luap does tell...
I don't get this. I don't run any adblockers, and the most I get is a single pop up, each time I visit the site. Maybe two, if I visit a bunch of different threads in a row. Not that much of a hassle. Also, it's just a reality of the internet business. From what I understand, Luap mainly runs this place on his own dime and the donations that he recieves. Domains and servers aren't cheap, and I doubt that the donations he gets really cover the cost. This is an excellent board, and having to hit an X on an ad, every now and then, is a small price that I'm happy to pay.
This comes up about once a month . Here is a simple fact , it costs money to run WG , and despite the persistent rumors , there is no helicopter , private jet , or resort island . Hell , Rocker and I don't even know what it really costs to keep this place running , Luap doesn't tell and we don't ask. Probably best that we don't know . The ads generate some extra revenue that probably goes to keeping the war room at Luap's place up and running, and some upgrades , once again we don't ask . To address the donation issue , well , if everyone that uses the site for tech info or to buy and sell in the swap meet would donate a sawbuck every year there would be an adequate money supply , but money is tight , and Luap doesn't require a fee to join . Just how it is . The ads fill in the gap , instead of running ad blocker , click on one once a day , doing so only requires 10 seconds , and adds like a dime to the coffers , but if everyone did this it would add up . Carry on Dusty
I think the moderators should at the least get a paid vacation once a year for their time and effort’s. Just look at what umpires make😂😂😂👍
Shoot man, I got a sweet deal on a new negligee off of one of those ads a while back. It's pretty comfy!
Hey, no one mentioned the Russian girls. Things must be coming up.
OK , now look , I really don't need that image dancing around in my head Dusty
I ordered one of those but the wife caught the UPS guy before I did
Why not just do it Luap and hit every member up for 20 bucks. If it means you don’t have to pay out of your pocket and the mods get something for their time then I’m in. If you have a choice (as we currently do) whether or not to hit the “donate” button, it’s just too easy to say “I’ll do it tomorrow” and it just doesn’t get done..(that’s what happens with me..), but if you go to WG and are politely asked to address your donation status to facilitate another year of access, the decision is easy and you have it done while the kettle boils. If there is a surplus next year, you could choose to roll it back in, or lock it away for when it’s needed.I reckon you three guys should take a few days away on our dime, shoot all the good bits and post them here.I’ll certainly chip in...

I'm hesitant to do that. Although it would mean I could quit my day job and take care of you fine folks full-time.But, the last thing I need is 6,000 people telling me how to do things. I feel like I get a lot of emails now, I cannot imagine having hundreds titled "I'm not paying for so and so to say such and such, I want a refund"...Plus, out of 6,000 members, roughly only 1300 use it on a regular basis (at least once monthly). If I put a subscription on it, I think the other 4,700+- would bail.I'd rather keep it the way it is for now.
You know, Huzo had a real nice video of his grand daughter cleaning his bike. Then you come along and poke a stick in my minds eye. So, just how comfy is it? John Henry
Nah, no hair.John Henry
Well, I have laughed around a camp fire with him in the past. Should I be worried??? John Henry
