Oh my. I want it. That's exactly the way I'd set it up and exactly the model I've wanted since they came out...

That looks like a good deal. I’ve wanted to check a Griso out. If this is the model for you, I guess you prefer the 4v 1100 to the later 8v Griso. Curious why as it seems many feel the 8v is a better engine. I ride an 1100 and love it. Have yet to ride a Griso or an 8v Guzzi.

I haven't ridden a 4 valve. I have an 8 valve 1400. Maybe half the clatter is why they like them better. The 8 valves are pretty noisy at idle. Not really noticeable at speed, at least on mine, but it is a naked bike.

I called and got a little more info-bike was owned by a Guzzi fan who still has one.  Some slight cosmetic issues, not too bad.  Front tire is cupped a little.  Everything seems to work.  I decided it's too similar to my Buell Ulysses to buy at this time.  Many irons in the fire, have to sell more bikes first.  Oh well!

I also prefer the 1100 simpler motor, Huzo has almost 200k on his 2 valve Norge, the same motor I believe
If you are South of the border and want a Griso go for it, great excuse for a fly and ride.

That's hilarious actually, that was my bike! I traded it in so I could pick up an XSR900. I tried to keep up on the maintenance but cosmetically it was a little "meh" from when I bought it back in 2016 (light scratches and scuffs but I don't think it ever went down). It's got a Beetle map in it if anyone's curious.

Never did figure out the front tire wear. The previous set of shoes (Michelin PR4's) didn't wear weird the way that the Road 5 front did. Rear was holding up great though.

EDIT:

Also the Mistral pipe was a later addition. It originally had a SuperTrapp exhaust when I bought it with no dB killer and it was dummy loud. The quality on the Mistral can is excellent, and sounds great without being obnoxious.

Dear Santa...

If you buy it let me know I think I still have my template for making fender eliminators to rid the bike of the horrendous rear mud flap.

The Griso would feel way different than the Buell. The Griso is long 75lbs heavier less torque and wide. Having owned a 07 Griso 1100 and currently owning a 2006 Ulysses other than extreme heat the Buell is hands down the more fun and comfortable bike.
