Great Dan, we can get 2 for sure and many I think would accommodate 3. This loop is "above" where we were last time. So, right after you come through the gate you will turn right and go up the hill a little bit.

There's supposed to be a storm coming through the first part of next week, but if the fires are still going strong, it will obviously come back.

Midway is on the east side of the mountains, and the valley up there is a little bit better that the Wasatch front.........a little bit.

Well Michael, that looks a lot better than here did last week. We have had a good storm come through and clear out the air, hopefully it will stay this way or the fires will mellow out a bit.

A new fire started on the mountain just north and west of Midway last Saturday, it was causing a bit of a mess. I would think the rains would have helped with that as well

3 weeks to go, going on a few scouting runs the week before to check on construction issues and what not.

I plan on having a trailer available, so I can haul the stuff I need to feed all you fine folks. I will be arriving Thursday afternoon at the Zermatt and ride over to the campground to check in on everyone.

Plan on a dinner meet up around 6ish or so.

Meet in front of the Zermatt on Friday morning at 10 am, full of fuel and ready to roll with kickstands up at 10:15. Friday ride will be over the Alpine loop into American Fork Canyon and up into Draper/Cottonwood area. Lunch over here somewhere. Then up Big Cottonwood Canyon, Guardsman Pass and back to Midway. We have reservations at a great little Italian Bistro in Midway, live music and a cool vibe.

Saturday, 10 am meet in front of Zermatt and ride down into East Canyon and on to Morgan. Grab some lunch at a little dive bar and then circle back how we came in. This ride will be a little shorter than the Mirror Lake highway we did last time. I think it will be easier the next day for those with long travels. I will get dinner started around 6ish over in the campground plan on eating by 7 or so and hang out around the campfire telling lies to each other and planning the next time we get together.

I'm not Roy, but I'm only about 10 miles from the venue right now. No fires any where near here. Some clouds that look like they have a little moisture in them, so hard to tell what could be smoke from the west, or what could be moisture in the air. No smell of smoke.

UT Rider... what’s the dive bar in Morgan? I’m going to be cutting it close to make that ride but might be able to hit that bar for a meet up.

I’m heading out to Buffalo Wy for the Longmire Days next Wed (very scaled back this year). Plan is go ride BearTooth Pass on the way back but have some other targets as well. Will try to get to campsite in Midway if possible.

The dive bar is my fallback plan. Is it The Post or the old Kelley’s?

If you ride Beartooth, plan to include Chief Joseph Scenic Byway (WY-296) as well. Not quite as dramatic as Beartooth, but one of the best Guzzi roads on the planet.

Midway to PC would be a good ride. I believe that part of Roy's Friday route will take us over some of that, but I don't know that he has plans to drop into PC.
I think the traffic is high in PC, but I've lived here most of my life and recall when the traffic was much less. There are still some "charming" things about the historic area of Park City. Sunday of the rally weekend is an event called Park Silly Market. Fairly crowded and busy during that event.

Probably best to visit and check out Park City. Will be interesting to see what you think of it. It must be a hot spot with the tourists for a reason other than skiing.

OK, finally got around to clearing the schedule and booking a Campsite. Oak Hollow campground Thursday to Sunday spot #92. I see there are several sites around me already booked. Hopefully they are Guzzi Riders since this is the area Roy specified. Bad news is I still have not replaced my Stelvio, so I am bringing my small(but mighty) Yamaha XT. Just as long the group rides keep the speed down to 65-70 I should be okay.

If not, there are lots of dirt roads for me to explore in the area.

The dive bar is the former Kelly's now the Stoddard Inn. I have reached out to the owner, but have not heard back from him.

Looks like there is a lot of interest and we are getting close!

It will just be very informal. Last time we rode over to the Back 40, on Hwy 40. I like that place and it is pretty convenient to get to.
