v85tt Wind Screen
« on: August 11, 2021, 07:37:40 AM »
I also have a Jackal with a large windscreen which I have grown accustomed to. Just purchased a new 2020 v85TT. I took a ride and noticed at highway speeds the noise/turbulence and buffeting was excessive with the standard wind screen. Has anyone installed any other option to cut down the noise and buffeting?  Any help / advise is appreciated.

Does anyone know if Rich Maunde(?) is still reworking motorcycle seats?

I like a tall windshield to keep the bugs out of my face.
I got a Biondi tall windshield. I also added a cheap Chinesium wing to the top of the shield. With it adjusted to the highest position, it does a great job of directing bugs over my head on the highway (I am 6'3" BTW). I can't really comment on wind noise because I am hard of hearing, plus use good ear plug. The only disappointment is that the Biondi is thinner than the stock shield. So the wing added to the top does flex it a good bit. Not an issue so far.
For warmer weather, lower speed riding, I go back to the stock windshield with the wing. Normally set as low as it goes. But I will angle everything up for high speeds, which puts the bugs right into my helmet.

I hate hard crunchy bugs in the face.

Add my vote for Madstad.

Second best for me was an Ermax screen with an MRA spoiler.
