While detailing the 2011 Norge, I found this near the battery.  Recently serviced.  I don't have a clue. Made of rubber.  About an in long.

Looks like a rubber nut cover. It's hex shaped inside and is probably used for protection.

Yup. Without the cover, the polarity could reverse and then the encabulator would not know where it's not. Then of course the Heisenberg compensator burns out.
 Best bring it to the nearest Guzzi/Encabulator dealer to verify the problem. Pro tip: Have them check the coaxial modulating valve alignment while it's in the shop.

I thought it was the anti-magnetic dissonance cap for the oscillating refrembulator.
Operation without this critical piece of equipment will result in the sudden and
catastrophic loss of turn signal fluid.....

(No, I don't have clue, either!    )

It does look like a cap for a nut or bolt, though....
