Gotta say...Never heard of that one!

I would tend to agree with you guys but "Americans marvelling (sic) at finding hot dogs and fries on pizza when in Naples".

This feedback just in from my 87-year old aunt, (My late father's sister) Clara, aka "Aunt Gigi" from Florida, and she is a 100% Italian that is more than qualified to comment on such matters! (Just sayin'....)

That's ridiculous!  However, I have had a pineapple one.  Not bad but not great either.  My mother's idea of pizza was this huge thing baked in a pan with a hole in the middle.   The dough was so mixed with so many eggs that it was yellow inside and the exterior was a shiny brown and it was more than doubly raised.  She put big chunks of cheese and ground black pepper in it . I don't remember if there was any thing else but it was very dense so I only ate the cheese and the bread around it.🇮🇹

Meanwhile...there is a *NEW* Pizza "Vending Machine" on the streets of Italy....Italians are calling it...."A Thing of Shame!!"

 In the Newark NJ area there's a sandwich called an Italian Hot Dog....Hot dog, fried potatoes , onions and peppers on a a bread shaped like half a Pita.. It's usually greasy and more than enough to eat

It is not BS - I’ve seen it in italy.  Didn’t taste it, or want to, but it’s there as crazy as it is.

Nothing beats an italian wood fired pizza……
