Anyone remember this from MGNOC years ago?
« on: November 06, 2021, 01:27:50 AM »
Paul Koehler and I stopped in Ripley, WV to visit a friend and he showed us this pic of his brother on his Guzzi at the time.   Ed thought it was published in the MGNOC years ago.   Anyone remember or have that issue?

Ah, the things people sometimes do when they are young, foolish, and indestructible.

It seems that I am no longer young, nor indestructible.  And (this might be debatable) I don't think I was ever quite that foolish.

I don't think it would go wrong more than once. Maybe twice for some.

The T-3 was good for that. Top of the tank was a nice flat place for a foot. It's also amazing how much beer you can haul when you're motivated. I wouldn't dream of doing anything like that now.

Larry was a real nice guy and it was a very sad day when he died. He lived in the same building where I parked my bikes and where he kept his personal bike. I met him back in the eighties when I needed to get a broken fin on my Norton welded and he did a perfect job. And he did that stunt for years but he was just tired after a full day of events……He was a very good rider and it was always amazing watching him negotiate traffic in Manhattan with a suicide shifter chopper.
