Last ride of November

The end of November and still riding! Y'all up north can keep the snow. 🙂 Headed out just before 11 am, temp was hovering around 43 degrees F, no wind, mostly cloudy. An hour later the sun was out, skies were clearing and the temperature was rising. Made it to a high of 55 in Front Royal, VA.
Gapland Rd. to MD17, across the Potomac at Brunswick, right onto VA690 and followed that the whole way to VA7 Business in Purcellville, VA. Hopped on VA7 west, then south on River Rd. along the Shenandoah River to US50, Howellsville Rd. along the Shenandoah River some more to Morgan Ford Rd./Happy Creek Rd.
Lunch at the Sheetz in Front Royal, then west on VA/WV55 through Strasburg to Wardensville, WV, north on WV259, Capon River Rd. to Capon Bridge. Smoky Hollow Rd. and I.L. Pugh Rd. to VA127. VA127 to US522, 600 to 690, Greenspring to Apple Pie Ridge Rd./Runnymeade Rd. Giles Mill Rd. to 3 Run Rd., WV51 to Leetown Rd., WV480 into Shepherdstown, MD34 to Porterstown Rd., Mt. Briar Rd., Trego Rd., MD67 and home.
Only 185 miles. Lots of traffic on the main roads, when I crossed over I-81 at Strasburg, it was backed up and moving very slowly in both directions.

Charlie,
Thanks for posting. Great pictures. Glad you had a great ride. It is sunny here right now and 31 degrees. Going to saddle up, but it won't be for 185 miles.

According to an old guy I met at the Sheetz in Front Royal, we're not supposed to get any snow until January.
I didn't ask where he got this information, but hope he is correct.

Tomorrow is supposed to reach the upper 50's here on the Cumberland Plateau, so I hope to go for a short ride. Since it will be Nov. 30th, that will truly be the last ride of November for me.
