Updated XDF for V85TT

Hi,

based on the findings of the Cali BIN exploration the V85TT BIN was also looked at. The result is this XDF:

As with the Cali1400 I would appreciate your feedback/experience with the Lambda flags and speedo correction factor.

thanks for bringing this to our attention. I'll release an enhanced XDF in a couple of days and correct the typo.

Btw, I haven't received any feedback from Cali1400/V85TT owners about the lambda flag addresses yet, I spent the last days writing XDFs for Aprilia RSV4s, which also use the 7SM and did find that the assumed lambda flags serve the same purpose in those BINs.

If you have a Euro 4 V85 with the 7SM, you can use GuzziDiag 7SM Reader & Writer, but you need the Euro 5 adapter cable.



Meinolf, with those flags deactivated in a V85, there were no service warnings until a sensor was disconnected, then the CEL lit up. It may be the sensor heater current is monitored, so that may not be an indication that lambda is deactivated.

Please refresh my memory. Does the Engine Mode in the GD status window tell us if Closed or Open loop is active above idle?

I haven't identified an equivalent to the engine_run_mode variable used in the 5AM code in the 7SM code yet. If there is one and if it serves the same purpose then it would contain not any indication about the closed loop status. This would be done by different RAM vars, most notable the curr_lambda_mode left/right vars. Which I believe to have identified, but a full analysis is still outstanding.

An indication of the validity of the proposed lambda flag addresses however would be a indicator changing status if the rpm drops below 800 or exceeds 5500. These, together with min/max engine&air temperature values, have been tentatively identified as closed loop boundary conditions.

There were no service warnings or error codes after Handle & Throttle learning were reset, or after the engine was started. The CEL came on after one sensor was disconnected, which was done as a test, but there was no error code stored. That suggests that if the flags actually deactivate lambda, the sensors are still monitored (probably heater current).

The heaters were (in the 5AM) controlled and adjusted via PWM and I can't recall having found any current control mechanism. I'll keep this possibility in mind when pursuing the closed loop ops in the 7SM.

I also would like to explore reasoning and potential solutions for the CEL when the Lambda sensors are physically disconnected.
