A day out in Italy...
« on: February 08, 2022, 02:18:24 AM »
(Guzzi content: riding ideas for some of you?)
My wife had friends visiting from Chile, so yesterday we took a little day trip that involved crossing in and out of three regions (Tuscany, Umbria, and Lazio) as we made our way on some lovely smaller roads to Civita di Bagnoregio. Interesting place, accessible only by footbridge (well, it can accommodate a Vespa or an Ape):

On the way back, we took a different route (more twisties), and stopped in Orvieto:

Home in time for supper. A nice day out.

Great pictures Anomaly. Two pictures of my grandparents hometown of Lorsica, Italy. Not far from Genoa. I was last there in 2001.

Orvieto, lovely town, it was a bit daunting riding my K1600 two up on the narrow roads. Such a beautiful area.

Magna Civita is a wonderful little place to stop for food there. Good beer too. And if you swing through Bolsena, stop at RetroGusto. Roberta makes a mean charcuterie plate.
