New Moto Guzzi Door Mats Available Now
Arrow now sell a decat header set and silencer for the 2021 Euro5. I am thinking of trying them out but...If I do it may run very lean? The lambda sensors should correct the open loop at the upper rev range but the closed loop will run lean. I'm hesitant because nobody has yet worked out how to access or modify the map, so that's not an option.I can opt for the official Guzzi Arrow homologated silencer on its own and forget the link pipe for now and that should make it sound sweeter.Thoughts, suggestions or should I forget about it until the map can be modified?
My V85 map has been re worked. The lambdas have been disconnected.
The 2021 Euro 5 has a different Ecu that so far no one has been able to get inside. It is claimed that the map cannot be modified, although there are people trying hard to prove them wrong.Logic tells me that the ECU will compensate for a lean mixture in open loop. Closed loop may be a problem though?
Go right ahead, its your bike, but don't come crying if it doesn't work.
If you turn off the lambdas how will the ECU know to compensate? In open loop the ECU is not receiving input from the lambdas and is relying entirely on the base map. Only in closed loop, with feedback from the lambdas, can the ECU apply any compensating adjustments.
It's important to remember that running in open loop, the ECU still uses all the sensors other than what's in the exhaust track. Some bikes (like many of the Kawasaki Concours 1400s) don't even have closed loop operation at all!
I have a 2020 model, what expected gains are you getting with this mod?
