Last time I checked, if you counted seals, gaskets, o-rings, and crush washers, that box had north of twenty places it could possibly leak.

We found that the PO, before the PO had tried to fix a leak from the seal closest to the gearbox by spreading gasket goo around the seal, then covering the splines with clear silicone. Hmmm. Obviously my kind of guy.
