Our son retired last year after 20 years in the Navy. I guess he misses the travel and adventure so he took a job as a winter maintenence worker at Summit Station Scientific Research facility in Greenland. This place is located at an altitude of 10,000 feet and he will be one of a seven man crew that keeps the place from freezing up and blowing away during the winter when no researchers are there. They offered crazy money and he took it. He has always been one to walk on the wild side, but this takes the cake. The weather cleared enough yesterday to fly a C130 up to Summit with three new guys and a load of supplies. Greetings from the top of the world. By the way, he owns two motorcycles. Neither bike made this trip.
