Still don't have a NM tag for the Norge. Due to the VIN# being under the tank is the problem. I was first told that I would could have a designated LEO come to my house since I have to take some pieces off the bike. When I checked with the two different Sheriff offices here only one would help me and I would have to bring the bike to the office (40 miles away) and June 15th is the soonest it could be done. The state police said 1.5 year waiting list. When I called MVD back with that information they said I would have to do it in their parking lot. Okay. Before doing that I was getting the T-3 registered and I asked when I brought the Norge in if I could park it next to the building to get some wind and sun protection while removing what I needed to be able to slide the tank back. The site manager then said that I can't do that there because to read the VIN# there the vehicle has to be complete and if I have to remove anything from the bike to get to the VIN# I would then have a vehicle "that was not intact". So I am being told I will have to wait till June 15th. BTW it is suppose to be registered within 30 days of moving here. What a freaking PIA! GliderJohn
Make a label at the print shop and stick it on the steering head.

In NM when you bring in a vehicle out of state a designated person has to physically see and read the VIN#. I bought the Norge new and have the original title, but that does not mean anything here. GliderJohn
