Good days at Harper's Moto Guzzi
« on: June 06, 2022, 02:20:55 PM »
Hey all , just an update to let you know we're not going anywhere. Been a rough year lately as far as trying to keep up with all the orders and such. BUT I got lucky last week and with one job post found TWO young ladies that fit what the shop needed. One to help in the office, and one that actually has motorcycle parts experience. Tiffany will be one in the office will be taking over all customer notifications both by phone and email to try to keep everyone up to date. And Kaycee will be in parts to get orders pulled and stock levels maintained and locating the best parts for the best deals.

So while others are going to email only and not answering the phone, I'm adding more people to  answer your calls and questions. And keeping the low quality Chinese parts out of the house.

Plus our new website is getting closer everyday. We will be compatible with phone, tablet and PC. All parts look up  will be up to date, with stock levels

I know you have choices on where to buy parts, but I hope that you choose Harper's. I have recommitted to serving the Guzzi community better as we move forward.

Looking forward to making things better for all.

Curtis,
I'm new to the MG world (added a 78 convert and 90 Calf 3 ) and was told that Harper's was a good resource. Since being new it is nice to have a little hand holding. I was disappointed when I went to order some parts and couldn't talk to a human.
With this post it seems like you realized that and are going back to more costumer friendly. I hope anyone else that has the same feelings will realize how hard it has been to run a small business in these times.
I hope that your business thrives. I will be back to try Harper's 2.0.
Steve

I forgot to write in the last post.
The folks on this forum have been great hand holders for a MG newbie.

How is the old Swab Jockey doing? It was interesting reading about his time in Japan.

After an excessive amount of fully aggravating fully automated "customer service" garbage with other companies in recent days, all I can say is how nice it was to call Harper's a few minutes ago.

A pleasant lady answered the phone and listened to my 2-3 questions about parts that I hadn't easily found on the website.  She said, "let me let you speak with the right person- he'll know what you need..."  In a moment, he says "Hello, this is Curtis. What do you need?"    We talked and I'm sending him a list.

Thanks, Curtis.

I'm 90% sure you got the other guys. Attentive customer service is not in their wheelhouse.

That would not be Harpers. They tend to prefer calls.

I have the opposite problem. With my poor hearing Harpers prefers phone calls over web sites or emails. I struggle with calls.

I was desperately searching for a stator for my 2000 V11 Sport and I finally dialed up Curtis. He did not have one in stock, but he had the part drop-shipped from the manufacturer and had it sent next day air. Simply amazing customer service!!

Wayne I remember you saying that. I still do emails. Just get so many it's hard to find them to reply. I'm happy to work with you though for sure.

It's nice to call Harper's, tell them what you want, and then it magically shows up.
