Their 500 liquid cooled singles are neat bikes also.   Unfortunately we don't get them here as far as I know.  This 700 is a sweet package.

Fantic made trail bikes , mini bikes, and mopeds  in Italy as of the late 1960's, many using Minarelli 2 strokes. Their reputation was  perceived generally good on the Italian market.
What  made them  pop  for the youth market was a  50 / 125 cc chopper .





Later on they produced some winning trials machines  as well.
I am glad they are on the market with a new offering, even if there will be none for sale in theUS

I sold a 85 Fantic trails bike 2 years ago. It was 300 Professional. They were the best trials bike to own in the mid 80's.

I had two 300 professional trials bikes. They were great bikes.

I only remember the goofy chopper, mopeds and minibikes.

It's amazing how much better it looks in the pictures than the XSR700, of which it is arguably the younger brother separated at birth.  Somehow that engine, which looks like something of a cluttered mess on the Yamaha, blends right in on its Italian relative.  Which we will never see in the US.

They probably made the best trials bike in the early 80s. And it was my impression that there are some Caballero dealers in the states, one not far from me in NJ. Pretty cool bike pictured.

The dealer locator shows a few near me, but only for e-bikes. No motorcycle dealers anywhere in the US. Maybe that will change since the Yamaha engine is Federalized already.

Yeah, Fantic has been surviving since the 60's.  If you want a motorcycle with a less extensive U.S. dealer network than Moto Guzzi, this could be your next bike!
