Similar to the other two threads that are currently active........

Based on all the cool bikes that were never sold in America, I could easily list a dozen or more.  It will be interesting to read the opinions of others.

This one would be on my list:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yamaha_TDR_250

I would suggest that it might even be improved (at least in my imagination) by the substitution of the very torquey, air cooled Yamaha 400 Daytona Special motor in place of the water cooled 250 motor.

I acquired one of my favorites. 1982 Laverda Montjuic 500.  It’s in a lot of pieces but the link shows one in fine form.

I had 2 of the 12 Cagiva Alarossa 350s ever imported, so this one is especially interesting. Everything I wished the AR 350 would have been.

Charlie,

I can agree with your choice of the TRX and the Saturno.  I got to see a couple of the Saturno's while in France along with quite a variety of Gilera & other Italian supermoto bikes of a variety of engine sizes.  Long before "Supermoto" was even a word in the US.

10 years ago when I was all Kawasaki I really wanted the W800 to complete the genres of Kawasaki's I owned.

I haven't looked lately at what is offered elsewhere.  Seems like mostly small bikes.

I had wanted a T3 California for a number of years.  For whatever reason Moto Guzzi never sold the T3 California model in the USA, only in Europe.  The very few T3 California's that are in the USA were imported by their owners who immigrated, therefore making them very rare over here.  With the help of Patrick Hayes I was put into touch with one that was in storage in San Francisco.  It had been imported by a Brit in the early 80's.

Don't ask me why...but I have always been intrigued by a 250cc JAWA Californian...Funky looking bike for sure...

However, back in the day, they did sell a variety of JAWA motocross bikes throughout the USA...

Charlie, the TRX is awesome!  My friend has one - we think there may only be 2 in the US - but not really sure.

Agree on the TRX!  I've lusted after one ever since they came out in the late 1990's.  I've seen a total of two for sale since then.  A beauty in Syracuse NY about 6 years ago, and this one (which looks a bit hacked to me) currently for sale in NC:
