2001 EV-fuel overflow hoses
« on: June 15, 2023, 12:11:52 PM »
The overflow hose from tank is cracked and brittle and won't attach to tank fitting anymore.
This bike has had a canisterectomy and the regulator relief and overflow go to a "T" then to under bike.
The current hoses are 5/32 (4mm).
Looking for local replacement source (AutoZone, O'Reilly's, Advance, etc.).
Searching for keyword "fuel line" finds me nothing that small.
What would you use for replacement?

Thanks!
Brent

Thank you guzzisteve.
You know how it is.
Want it now type of thing.
Looks like previous owner/mechanic used windshield washer and vacuum hose.
I wouldn't expect that is too fuel friendly. But it will get by for now. Purchased at AutoZone.

My next question -
2 direct tank ports (overflow and gas cap drain) and 1 smaller one off of pressure regulator.
I have 3 hoses and 2 of them connect to a "T". All exit near swingarm.

Is there a good/bad reason to connect a atmosphere hose to the pressure regulator?
I've seen posts that state it shouldn't be connected to anything.

I also measured the smallest portion of the overflow and drain ports and see that they are more like 1/4 inch.
Bit larger than the 5/32 that had been used.
Need 1/4 inch?

Thanks again!
Brent

Mine has 2 hoses one under center and the breather up by the return, they both go down behind my starter to fresh air below.
Nothing on the lil spigot on pressure reg, stays open no hose. My tipover valve is still there and works as should.

Just normal evap hose. Any real parts store should have it on hand. As for the reg.. ya, no hose on that little fitting. It just stays open.
