Happy Thanksgiving All!
« on: November 19, 2023, 03:39:32 PM »
I know I’m early but as I perused this fine forum I was once again reminded that I am thankful to be a part of it.

Of course there are larger things in life to be thankful for but the older I get, the more I find that it is the small things in life that turn out to mean a great deal. Don’t get me wrong, the large things are nice but they tend to take care of themselves if you will.

At any rate, however you choose to celebrate Thanksgiving, think about what you’re thankful for and if so inclined, share it here.

Happy Thanksgiving,  You are so right about the small things! I am thankful for the big things like a home, motorcycles, a truck and all but I'm really thankful for the memories of my family and the things that I can not replace. Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.   Sometimes it’s amazing what happens to help you remember & understand how much you have to be thankful for…. Then it happens again.

Today is our 23rd wedding anniversary.  At 8am, my wife happily sent me out to get her/our anniversary present for me.  15+ yrs ago, I reluctantly sold my original 1970 Ducati 450 Mark 3D Desmo to help fund my young studio.  Last night, this original 1968 350 Mark 3D Desmo- the first production bike to feature a Desmo head- with very rare twin filler tank popped up for sale about an hour away.  Many years ago during restoration, it was damaged in a warehouse fire.  Not ideal but it suffered no irreversible harm.

I was home with it well before noon. I’m more into original or unrestored as-used bikes than restored bikes, but this one will be put in line for actual restoration attention.

In previous lives & wives, my bikes were often the problem.  It’s been almost 24 yrs since my wife first helped me get a Laverda 750 cheap on short notice one weekend when we were dating.  Then, on our 23rd anniversary, she does it again.  She makes it easy to feel thankful to have the wife I have and the life she has given me.  I’ll keep trying to do the same for her.  I love my wife.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Happy Anniversary Cliffrod.  Job well done.

I pulled two pails of oysters from Wellfleet Harbor the other day and brought in a pile of firewood. I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving. You are all family.

We are doing Thanksgiving on Saturday. We had a major plumbing issue yesterday so no water. Didn't know if I could figure it out and get it fixed in time. Being that the hardware store for parts would be closed today we postponed.  The problem wasn't as bad as I thought so Saturday is still the day even though I got it fixed. Happy thanksgiving all.  :thumb:
