Guzzidiag and 98 EV

Hello Folks, I have the Lonelec cable that allows me to hook up Guzzidiag to my 98 EV with the big P8 ecu under the rear seat. My question is what can the Guzzidiag be used for on the bikes with the older ECUs? I dont believe the map can be changed like on a Griso, right? I am just curious what it would be useful for?
thanks
Rick

Correct, it can't 'do' anything. However it can read and display the status of every sensor in your system. Thus you can determine if one of your sensors is out of whack. Nice to display rpm vs charging voltage vs engine temperature, etc. One feature is a bit hidden. It allows you to watch the performance of the TPS as a moving graph over time. By using that you can keep the engine off and very gradually open the throttle to watch for any glitches or dips in the graph line as it moves.

Thanks Patrick. Thats what I thought. I got the cable when I owned a Griso, and used it for the idle reset and to check what map it had. What you mention will be nice to check on that new CA Cycleworks TPS I bought for the EV. Thats the one I think you gave me a" heads up" on a few years ago, where they provide a read out strip on the new TPS.
Thanks again, Sir.
