The most attractive in terms of centrefold reading under the covers is the MV Agusta F4.
The most attractive place for rock solid reliability and faultless touring is the Triumph 1050 Sprint ST.                                                                                               I agree with Huzo about the MV Agusta F4. As far as the Triumph Sprint ST, I currently own an 08 model (first year with the steel tank) and I agree with his assessment. Easy on the eyes too.

If I could have bought a shaft drive Sprint ST, I would probably not have bought a Guzzi.
But it’s too late now, I’d lose too much if I sold it.

Same old pics, same old bike.  If I thought something else was more attractive, I would have owned & enjoyed it for all these years instead of my plain old V7 Sport-

As good as the all the details are- the tank, the amazing Tonti frame that’s a brilliant paralleled & triangulated composition of efficiency, the Borranis & the big 4 Shoe brake and the symmetrical power plant featuring asymmetrical detail- all I can see when I get on it is how it feels. Very, very cool.

That’s how attractive it is to me.   Nothing else compares.  I love my old bike.

I think this is one of the most attractive designs Guzzi ever released, 1974 750S

The 1973 V7 Sport hiding behind my Eldorado was a great looking bike and very pleasant to ride but it’s with a new owner now. The bold angled stripes of the 750S reminds me of the graphics on late 60’s to early 70’s muscle cars.

I’ve spent 30 years getting a few that I think are really attractive, Ducati bevel SS, Daytona RS and 996 being maybe the most visually attractive of them, but the one that I think might be the prettiest of all I’ll never own.

I also like the SB2 Bimota a lot and could fantasize about having one, but I doubt it’ll ever happen.

Given enough time and pictures to look at, I'm sure my fickle, shallow self could come up with at least 20 or so "most beautiful" motorcycles.  But off the top of my head the Yamaha XS650 always comes to mind.

Favorites are a tie between the 1976 only available in the US in "French blue!"  What an insulting name for a paint applied to a vertical twin.  And a close runner up was the almost "British racing green" 1978 model but with a less attractive and effective front brake caliper.

Same paint scheme as the 76 was available in Brilliant red in other countries.

The XS650 faithful have developed 277 degree crankshafts & modified camshafts.  Supposedly a significant decrease in vibration results.  I have heard sound clips.  They sound great.

In Europe, the XS650 had twin front discs from 1974 on. It is interesting also that Yamaha bothered with different color schemes for different markets.

See…..
I was gunna’ nominate the V11 Sport Greenie, then your bike winked at me and I went home expecting to say goodbye to what was there.
But then my Norge made me an awwwfer I couldn’t refuse and seemed to know what I always ask for.
We turned in for the evening on a cold night and…?
The rest, as they say is history… :thumb:
But THAT V11 is just drippingly nice…

What I’m picking up here is to be expected.
We perceive attractiveness as a function of how something makes us feel. This is clearly true in relationships as well.

Amen.  Nothing is more true than the old saying: "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!"  Same holds true in defining a lot of words fair, rich, humorous, offensive, fat, tall, art, etc.

For me, their are very few attractive motorcycles that have more than a 1/4 fairing in terms of body work.  The Ducati 916 comes to mind as a beautiful bike, and the same with the early Triumph Daytona 675.

IMO, components make or break a beautiful bike.  That's why I doubt I could ever pick the "best looking" bikes.  Toooooo many contenders are out there, and toooooo many variables in component design.

Brilliance & competence in performance is definitely one factor in "best looking."
Garage factor is another.
A third is what lit you up when you were just entering or just starting to dream about getting a motorcycle.

The Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, & Yamaha enduro style machine of the 1970's will always push that button for me.
Same for most of the street bikes of that era.

Appearance X = interest & excitement.  A Pavlovian response.

Funny how taste changes with time.  To me, I still find the older bikes more attractive with a few exceptions such as our modern Guzzis.  I have never been able to fall for the newer insectoid looks of most modern BMWs and the Asian bikes.  Another change has been hand in hand with the increased performance of modern bikes.  Due to the added power, the rear tires have become very wide.  This affects the entire styling dynamic.  I really loved how the old bikes had the exhausts tucked in nice an tight (such as the Lafranconis on a Lemans), but wider rear rims and much larger canisters have forced the exhaust further from the bike.  In general, the back ends of bikes have become much more massive which makes integration a trickier proposition with the rest of the bike.  My current Eldo 1400 has hard cases that cover much of this up, but I still toy with the idea of an aftermarket system to make the cans smaller and more in proportion to the bike.
It is great to see so many of the great old bikes being restored to former glory.

I love to see the variety presented, and how much taste differ from one person to the next. In this thread alone, there are bikes that I never dreamed anyone, anywhere, could claim was good looking. There are also great looking bikes, good looking bikes, nice looking bikes, unique looking bikes and more to be seen. Please keep them coming!

I don't think I could determine what the best looking motorcycle is for me.

I will say though that most of the motorcycles I have truly admired the looks of, I was very disappointed in the way they rode, handled, or felt ergonomically.
