Short February Ride - Breva 1100
« on: February 09, 2024, 05:10:32 PM »
Another darn Nick video.

I love bare roads surrounded by snow banks and don't mind a little winter sand.

Sounds a bit cool for this Texan, but looks like a nice ride. Thanks for inviting me along!!

Nice video Nick...I kept worrying that your tires were going to slip out from under you on some curves, but noticed that you kept your bike as vertical as possible to avoid that.  In any case, thanks for the video.  Sounds like the Breva is running nicely for you - did you need to do much to it before you could take it out?  Gotta love those 2 valve motors...

Thanks Tom.
No problem with the tires or corners. I take it easy and avoid the damp and sandy spots. Not having to worry about other traffic encouraging me to go faster is a huge help.

I also enjoyed it although you made me nervous. In your defence utube makes it look like the rider is going faster than he actually is.

That is a lot of sand. Do they sweep it up to use next winter?

I don't think so. It just adds to the verges.

Man I just can't. Been in the mid 40s and lower 50s here. In mid February!!! Seen many people out scratching their motorcycle itch but driving around up in my truck I can see that layer of salt and sand covering the roads. Beyond my fear of loss of traction, I don't want that stuff on my bikes. I did see a street cleaner out yesterday though but chance of snow tonight and tomorrow night so still not time.

Good for you getting out though!
