Spring rates, rear shock
« on: February 19, 2024, 07:16:56 PM »
Does anyone know the spring rate on OEM shocks, 2023 V7 Stone Special?
And a good place to buy (different rate) replacements?

Stock bikes are always too stiff for me; I'm 160 pounds and I like a plush ride.

I would bet the stiffness is from the shock with too much high speed compression damping, not the spring. That was the case on my 2016 V7 Stone which was punishing to ride on anything other than smooth roads. A set of Ikon shocks made a big improvement and aren't that expensive.
