Meh. I’d rather have the Special with 2 gauges and wire wheels.

Not a fan of the half checkered flag tank, otherwise it is beautiful. And CENTER the damn clock! Even better, use two.

LOL!  You know they come right off.  The sooner the better.

I used to believe that, but I've seen so many tanks lately in used ads that have stickers that somebody tried to remove and failed based on all the tears on the edges. I saw a youtube review of the new Triumph 400 and it seemed like half the top of the tank was warning stickers.

Am I the only Stone Ten'r around these parts? I got mine about 6 months ago, and love it!
I'm fine with the info dial. The Arrow pipes are perfect, not too loud. The only mod I've done, is to add a Dart flyscreen. Just had the 950 mile break-in service done.
I have no issues with the bike. I'm really glad I got it!

I’ll bet anything you like that if I had one of those and put proper front forks in it, twin front discs, wire wheels, polished rims, removed the ridiculous chequered crap off the tank and so on…
There’d be very few who would not prefer it.
It all just screams of putting lipstick on a pig.
Honestly, if Guzzi set up an in house branch of the factory that supplied your V7 to order with things like ..
Ohlins forks.
Real brakes.
Twin analogue clocks.
Silver motor and drive train.
Polished alloy rims with spokes.
A mid sized fairing that complements the lines.
And so on….
The price would be higher, but you would not be buying the original componentry and removing it to upgrade.
People buy those things as offered because..THAT’S THE WAY THEY ARE OFFERED…!
Build a better one and price it accordingly and they would sell. Honestly if you are going to buy a V7, you do not care about the 49 hp.
Or if you do, order yours with the V85 motor.

What's wrong with putting lipstick on a pig?

Thats what I have a 2017 V7III Special
I really like the speedo on that it has lots of display options
Going back to a single clock is a step backwards IMHO

Have they updated the engine some way?
Is this new variation 750 or 850cc?

You guys like to bag on what you don't like. I bought the exact bike I wanted, set up as is, works fine for me. If I wanted a performance bike, I would've bought an Aprilia Tuono, or Triumph Street Triple.
Reminds me of Harley riders baggin' on each other for other Harleys they don't care for...
Sorry I even posted here.

It compares as inaccurate.

49 was the crank HP of the MkI V7's

The MkIII and 850 models went up from there.

Maybe the improvements aren't about to make any of them pavement stompers, but then again no modern Guzzi is the king of the dojo so who gives a crap.

And don't listen to the douchebags. They are not just here saying stupid shit. You can find them all over the place.

But there are enthusiasts here and elsewhere who get what you're enjoying....

If you're only going to have 1 gauge/clock/speedometer, I think it looks better centered.

About the clan thing, I'm an individual. I wear all black so I look like all the other bikers.

Other than that, just another paint job.

The offset speedo looks funny but I think it makes a good spot for a phone/GPS etc, but what do I know.

Buddy Shagmore…don’t think you were around when the V7R ‘Racer’ first came out…I joined WG for the ‘1st time’ shortly after I bought one. I loved the bike from the first time I saw it at the dealership. 39-41 or whatever Hp it is. STILL do 9 years later.

I understood the bikes limitations when I bought it. It was never going to seriously challenge records at The Isle of Man. If I wanted more speed/handling/power…like you, I could have bought it. It was a throw back styling exercise and homage to Guzzi’s earlier racing heritage. Nothing more, nothing less. Like about 15+ other ‘styling itinerations’ released by Mandello HHQ on the V7 platform.

Every time the bike was brought up on WG there was gnashing of teeth and howls about the ‘racer’ moniker, the pretender status, a missed opportunity to build something more. The chrome tank and numbered fly screen in particular set one guy off from ‘down under’ into long colorful diatribes using the vernacular of the peasantry.

9 years later the ‘Racer’ is still in my garage. That shows you how I feel about others opinions on the bike. My money. My decision.

I like your bike. Really like the tank and dual discs. Is it EXACTLY like I would want it? No, but it’s not my money or decision. If you’re ever in Utah look me. I’ll buy you a beer.

For the guy from down under if he’s still around…I STILL love that chrome tank.

Yeah I still love my almost 13 y/on Stone.

But point of order Buddy has the Stone 10 (which is quite a nice bike) but it's not the new V7 Sport, so no dual discs.

Thanks Kev, Mea Culpa…I was on the Guzzi site checking out the new bikes due to this discussion thread just prior to posting and thought Bud’s bike had the duals up front.

Thanks to the fellow Guzzi enthusiasts who offered positive comments. I really didn't expect to get slammed here on our brand enthusiast site.

I like the looks of that bike.  It looks like exactly what it is supposed to look like.  A comfortable, practical (the definition of which depends on what one wishes to practice) bike that is a tribute to past race bikes.

It had to be Roper.  I believe he’s recalling the glory days of WG, when we had a good sized stable of interesting, smart, and often humorous contributors.
