Addressing issues anonymously
« on: May 05, 2024, 09:27:13 AM »
All,

I've recently received a couple of letters from unspecified senders addressing certain issues related to private discussions about certain campouts or rallies they assume are taking place and are feeling left out since it's not for public promotion. I'd like to take a moment to address these concerns.

Firstly, private messages are exactly that: private. I won't interfere with any discussions that occur privately. Participants have the right to discuss whatever they wish without fear of intrusion. It's important to remember that neither I nor the moderators have access to these conversations. This deliberate design ensures privacy, and I'm committed to respecting it. Intervening in private discussions would constitute a severe violation of personal privacy, which I staunchly oppose.

Secondly, I won't address any matters sent to me via hardcopy letters without proper identification. If you wish for me to address an issue, it's imperative that I know who I'm communicating with. While I prefer receiving private messages, they should include clear identification so I can respond accordingly.

It's crucial to recognize that individuals have the right to organize rallies or campouts independently of Wildguzzi's support or promotion. Should anyone choose to arrange such events privately and extend invitations, they are entirely within their rights to do so, and I will never intervene.

I trust this clarifies my stance on these matters.

Best regards,
Luap

I was just accused of writing these letters.   The person accusing me of this has sent me a total of two PMs and I have never responded to them or never will.

Luap, I'm sorry you have to deal with such nonsense. Sponsoring and Running the board is tough enough without such nonsense.

I've long had a rule, if the accusation is anonymous, it is to be ignored.

People need to grow up.

I don't have a lot of rules, but these 3 have served well:
- If there's a party and you weren't invited, don't go.
-If you weren't invited, don't ask
- If you get a late invitation, kindly decline, you weren't part of the original plan.

Wow!

Now I am starting to wonder:  "How many rallies have I NOT been invited to?"

Sniff, sniff.... paraphrasing Graucho Marx:

"I wouldn't want to go to any rally which would have me as an attendee!"

Where's the button that allows me to like my own post?  Just in case no one else does.....
