V9 crank sensor gap
«
on:

When it arrives I need to fit a new crank sensor to my 17 plate Roamer so am doing a bit of prep in the interim.
Key wuestion is what is the air gap as I can't find anything in the manuals
Interestingly the parts fiche don't show any shims
I wonder if the modern machine tools put the mounting face where it should be without the need for any shims
Any ideas anyone??
Cheers

If you haven't pulled it out, it may have a sliver of metal on it. Could be the issue.

I *assume* its the same as everything else.. .6 to1.2mm. so not very fussy.

this is what it says in V7-2 ABS----------------------------
"Place the sensor plus the corresponding spacers; the air gap should be between 0.7 and 0.9 mm."
V9 motor man just says check correct air gap, doesn't list what it is anywhere I looked, in V9 Roamer & Bobber.
The place it was listed was in the sensors trouble shooting section.
If the part # is same for V7 & 9, tone wheel & sensor then air gap would be same also.
