New Moto Guzzi Door Mats Available Now
Riding about 65bike began to lose speed,no abrupt noise or anything, could shift gears but no effect, engine running normally.I had just ridden down from Guardsman pass a steep narrow 10%grade and everything was fine, stopped for breakfast and rode about 50 miles then it quit. The bike will roll in gear.I have been lucky to get a guy trailer it to a storage lot near Fruitland.NowI will hitch a ride to Decesne and meet my wife who is driving on the way to our family reunion nearTelluride tomorrow. What goes around usually comes around and I have met some really friendly helpful folks. We always try to help other riders when we can. Thanks for all your concern and advice any other theories?
Thanks John but hauling it home.
Sorry you guys didn’t sell those really nice bikes at the rally JJ,good luck down the road.
If you are going back to the bike, stick your fingers up the hole in bottom of bellhousing, that is where the springs come out. There will be parts of the springs or plate you can feel in there.
I've changed 5 so far, every one had the 4 springs on plate pushed out of plate, metal on plate that holds springs broke. You can't get one for 1200, you get a 1400(heavier duty). When this happens it usually messes up the flywheel.Guzzi does not have the bolts in stock, last year I had to buy 100 from mcMaster-Carr and sent the rest but 7 to Jim Hamlin FREE
I just looked at what I think is the correct parts book for a 2014 Stelvio. It shows a single plate clutch with a diaphragm spring. There is not a lot to fall apart in there, unless the central bolt backed out somehow. I think.
Yeah, "failure to proceed" seems strange to me. Even bike in the picture Steve posted should at least move. (scratching head)
