AIR Box Frustration

 Replaced my oil pressure switch but struggling to re install the air box and snorkels!!   Did search and not found anything that helps so far?

 I got it out, it must go back in, but apparently not.  Snokels off during install?   Right side or left wide first?   Grrrrrr....  Thanks for any insight or tricks to reinstall.   It is 70 degrees out and everything is pliable.  Yes I put some silicon lube on snorkels to fit to TB's but to no success..

Make sure you have the solid fuel line out of the way. Leave the snorkels on or you’ll inherit air leaks.
When you’re sure that the ancillary bits and pieces are out of the way, start wobbling the box into position, while squeezing the snorkels down flat.
The large wiring loom that runs down the right side frame tube, can be problematic, try to EASE that out of the way a bit.
Do not forget to hook up the air line that goes to the stepper motor from the bottom of the air box.
I’ve had mine off many times and I find that removing the clips that secure it to the TB’s, is well worthwhile.
Rubber grease is advantageous around the interior mating surface of the snorkels.
Once you have the box in place, run you finger around the junction of the snorkel and TB, to make sure the throttle bodies have entered fully into the ‘box.
Then replace the clips…
It will work.

Thanks Peter for the suggestions and details. ... Ai has no help when it comes to greasy hands and mechanics.  I'm printing out your directions to take with me to the garage!!  Grrrrrr.....

No worries.
Also make damn sure you have the little wire that plugs onto the airbox air temp sensor at the top, (I think that’s what it is…), up and away to the side while fitting the ‘box.
You will curse the day you were born if you refit the whole shooting match, only to find you have to take it all off again because that wire and plug is sitting under the box..!
And no…It won’t thread up past the side between the frame rail and the ‘box.

All back together with one hose left over,  Crankcase vent? Transmission vent?  *But to what?  Hose way in the back exiting from the top of the rear see as looking past the brake resovoir. See picture I hope coming thru.

Did you put hose on trans breather ? It winds up on top of airbox and goes through a gap on the side. Is that the hose?

If it’s the one I’m thinking then it’s the drain for the oil mist leftovers.

  The hose is black and on top of the Transmission gear box so I routed it down towards the ground or does it connect to something I am missing?

I don't know?   It connects to the top of the gear box?   I have the rear clear hose connected Left rear,  and the front 1/2 inch black hose connected to the air box at the bottom  center fitting. All other items and hoses seem to be placed well.  It is only this long 5/16ths black hose on the top of the gear box I am wondering about?  How it ended upside, perhaps I pulled it up with the air box and snorkels being pulled up and out?

There is a 5/16” hose on mine that comes out of the top of the gearbox and just runs up to under the tank and vents to atmosphere.

Yes! * Without online help I fear what would happen to our "labor of love" keeping our beloved Guzzi's alive and ticking.  Mentoring others as we have been mentored.  Thanks Peter.  The pics finally came thru showing the hose.  I was dangling loose and I knew not where to place it!
