Stelvio transmission

Wondering if any owners of the latest Stelvio will comment on their experience with the bike. I rode one briefly last year, at stoplights moving from neutral to first the transmission made a tremendous clunk that lurched to bike forward. The bike I was riding had very low miles. Do they all do this? Does it get better with miles?
Thanks.

My Mandello was pretty bad when new. Now with 7K not too bad, not much worse than other wet clutch bikes. Better than some like a Harley I owned a few years ago. There is a lot of discussion here and other sites about this issue.

That's what they do. I now have 7800 miles on my Stelvio and it "might" lurch less now than when new. It certainly lunches less the first 500-800 miles after an oil change. I rarely ever put it in gear with the engine running. At the long stop lights on my daily commute, I leave it in gear and shut it off. Curiously, I disable the auto start/stop feature on my cars but choose to do it manually with my motorcycle!
