Round barrel lifters.
« on: May 17, 2025, 06:47:21 PM »
Because of pitting on my 850 lifters I am going to replace the lot.
Stein-Dinse have factory parts for a crazy price or German made reproductions for a reasonable price.
Does anyone have experience with after market lifters?

Nobody down there does refacing? I send all of mine to Delta Camshaft in Tacoma, WA.

I had the lifters resurfaced when I built the motor but I have a barrel off because of a strange oil leak coming from the head gasket near the oil drain back and outmost stud.
I pulled one of the lifters and found the start of some pitting so now I'm considering replacing them as I have spent so much time, effort and money on the motor I dont want to take any changes.  You will need to zoom in on picture.
FYI When I first stripped the motor down both exhaust lifters were badly pitted and the cam exhaust lobes were toast.
Intakes were fine, go figure!
