For Want Of Another Cruiser
« on: June 07, 2025, 02:36:43 PM »
I got this 2019 Softail Low Rider on Thursday.  Ran a tank of gas thru it - and then detailed it today.

Plenty of power, and it rides nice.

Nice, how do you like the M8? That seat looks comfy.

That's an aftermarket seat, and it's plush.   :thumb:

That M8 motor makes a lot of torque, that's for sure.

Nice. In profile it has a hint of the Triumph Speed master look which I REALLY like with maybe just a bit more front end rake. I’m still plucking along on a 2005 RK with the 88 motor. At 86-88K miles it’s been trouble free. Never needed to be ‘sorted’. Just something I like about that mill. Others are faster and stronger but it just feels more vintage than the newer stuff. Neighbor across street just picked up a VRod for $3600. Says it’s torquey…

There are some incredible deals out there on used harleys. Its a buyers market for sure. The early twin cam bikes can be found really inexpensively, and with alot of life still left in them.

I had my 39 year older distant cousin to it out yesterday.  1980 FXE1200.  It was the plain Jane of the BT lineup but looks pretty classy now.

Great score on the LR!.

Ginny says that she doesn't want to ride as a passenger on this one because it doesn't have passenger floorboards.
Darn the bad luck.

Beautifully set up with new pretty engine.  Good luck with it.   Does it still burn your thigh  with heat coming off the rear cylinder?

This is my old 2004 Victory Vision Tour.  - - aka "The White Whale"

After riding 5 Big Twin Harley's, (2 FLH-S Electra Glide Sports, and 3 Road Kings), I decided to try something different.  Now extinct, I rode this beauty all over the Southwest and California for 10 trouble-free years.  :thumb:

Arguably, the best two-up, long distance cruiser I ever owned. :thumb:  :boozing:

I looked at an Indian Chief Sport earlier this week. A pretty good looking bike with some serious kit (KYB USD forks, Fox reservoir shocks, triple Brembos, etc.).
